As part of the approved work plans for 2021, on June 18, 2021, a garbage collection campaign was held in the Kara-Kol area in the Chon-Ak-Suu gorge of the Issyk-Kul region. The action was attended by youth, teachers, deputies of local keneshes of the villages of Grigorievka, Temir and Kashat in the amount of 98 people. Before the start of the action, the manager of the Issyk-Kul Aarhus Center S. Tursunakunov gave brief information about the activities of the center and handed out gloves and garbage bags to the participants. After that, the participants cleared the Chon-Ak-Suu gorge and around the Kara Kol lake from garbage and as a result collected about 1 ton of various garbage. The collected garbage was taken out by the technique of the Sadyr ake ayil aimak.

Despite the fact that the summer holiday season is just beginning, there is a lot of garbage among the trees and along the river. Prior to this, the youth of the village of Grigoryevka held clean ups in the Chon-Ak-Suu gorge, but due to the remoteness of the Kara Kol Lake, such actions were not held in these places. The youth of the villages of Grigoryevka and Temir expressed their gratitude to the organizers for providing transport, gloves, packages and for the initiative to hold this action.
