On June 3-4, 2015 in Vienna (Austria) there took place the next meeting of heads of the Aarhus Centers of Southeast Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia. The presentations were made the director of the Aarhus Centre Osh by K. Isabayev and the head of department of ecological strategy and planning of SAEPF D. Bekkulova. At the heart of D. Bekkulova’s presentation the Strategic development plan of the Aarhus Centers in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2015-2018 entered. All presentations were accepted positively by participants of a meeting and noted by moderators of sessions.
The increase in number of the Aarhus Centers in the region, creation of prerequisites to more dynamic advance of the principles of the Convention, expansion of number of the interested government institutions and the public in preservation of environment, development of implementation of cross-border projects, increase in consideration of offenses by law enforcement agencies in protection of the ecological rights of the public became difference of this meeting from last year’s, according to acting.
The tasks of increase of a role in questions of preservation of environment, development of system of protection ecological the rights of the public, strengthening of work with local authorities and need of carrying out their training on use in the work of the principles of the Aarhus Convention, attraction of mass media in distribution of necessary and accurate information in the field of violation of environment are set for the Aarhus Centers of the region.
