On November 9, 2017, the branch of the Aarhus Center in Bishkek – Issyk-Kul Center was opened.

Aarhus Center closely cooperates with governmental structures, such as regional and city state administration, State agency of environmental protection and forestry at the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic , the Ministry of emergency situations of the Kyrgyz Republic , the State inspectorate for ecological and technical safety at the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, NGO, the international organizations, Higher education institutions and other institutes to promote the solution of a number of environmental problems.

The center will create conditions of operational access to ecological information, will increase the potential of the state support in ensuring more active participation of the public in decision-making, and will help to create the atmosphere of trust at interaction between various parties.

Thus, all data and information represented by the Center will have the official status that will allow improving not only reliability and quality of information, but also will allow using it at realization of the rights for access to justice.
