Information about the training in the village of Kazarman Toguz-Torou district of Jalal-Abad region on protection and use of plant and animal worlds.

On September 29, 2017 in the village of Kazarman, with the financial support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, a training was held on the protection and use of flora and fauna, attended by representatives of the Natural Park “Saimaluu-Tash”, the Department of Hunting of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry, members jamaat for the protection of animals “Abdali” of the Atyk ayil okmotu, Toguz-Torou District State Administration, the Society of Hunters and Fishermen of the Jalal-Abad region.

 

On September 28, 2017, the director of the Aarhus Center in Osh, K. Isabaev, and the chairman of the Society of Hunters and Fishermen A. Ismailov visited the District State Administration of Toguz-Torou District, where he met with the head of the apparatus T. Salimanov and lawyer K. Zhanaliev. During the meeting, training and further cooperation on the protection and use of natural resources in the district were discussed.

This training was conducted by the Information Aarhus Center in Osh together with the Jalal-Abad Territorial Department of Environmental Protection and the Society of Hunters and Fishermen of the Jalal-Abad region in the framework of the project “Strengthening Environmental Security in Kyrgyzstan through the Green Economy, Natural Disaster Reduction and Implementation of the Aarhus Convention” with the support of the OSCE.

In the beginning, the staff of the Information Aarhus Center in Osh presented the activities of the Center for the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The training covered regulatory legal acts in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety, and discussed the implementation of the requirements of the laws “On Environmental Protection”, “On Wildlife”, “On Hunting and Hunting”, “On Arms”, On Forest, Water , The Land Code and the Code on Administrative Liability.

Chairman of the Society of Hunters and Fishermen, A. Ismailov told the participants about the activities of the society, about the rules of hunting, obtaining permission documents for hunting, distributed the hunter’s calendar to the participants, where the hunting rules are indicated and the Government Decree on the moratorium for hunting certain species of animals and birds.

Employees of the department of the Hunting, Nature Park, jamaat “Abdaly”, the Society of Hunters and Fishermen, the District State Administration told about the problems of protecting forests and fauna. Also, the lack of awareness of the population on the legal and regulatory acts of environmental protection was noted.

At the end of the training, the participants asked the Aarhus Center in Osh to organize trainings for hunters, NLA in the field of environmental protection and wildlife with participation, heads of ayil okmotu, district state administration and state controlling hunters.
