Conducting a seminar for students of Naryn State University named after Naamatov on the topic “The role of youth in the implementation of the Aarhus Convention”.

On November 10, 2022, with the financial support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, the Naryn Aarhus Center held a seminar for students and teachers of the Agricultural and Technical Faculty of NSU on the topic “The role of youth in the implementation of the Aarhus Convention”. A total of 26 people took part.

During the seminar, information was presented on the activities of the Naryn Aarhus Center and the department of the Institute for Mountain Societies Research of the University of Central Asia. Also, a researcher at the Naryn State Nature Reserve Kyrbashev Zh. made a presentation on implemented projects with university students, gave extensive information about the prospects and plans for working with students and with the Aarhus Center in the future.

Then the representative of the state reserve Karatal-Japyryk made a presentation on the activities of the reserve. The seminar participants were very interesting and informative. They asked questions that interested them, such as whether they could do their internships in these organizations and take part in events. Several joint events between NSU and reserves were also planned. Given the interest of students in environmental issues, the manager of the Aarhus Center, Kalmuratov Samat, suggested creating an eco-club on the basis of the university.
