On June 3, 2021, at the Burana hotel in the Aral village of Chui oblast, a round table was held on the topic “Raising awareness of stakeholders on sustainable management and use of land resources in the context of climate change”. The public of the region, farmers and civil society of nearby places, representatives of land and pasture committees of the region, employees of ayil okmotu took part in the round table. The organizers of the round table with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek were the Aarhus Center in Bishkek, the Association of Land and Forest Users of Kyrgyzstan. The partner for the event was the NGO “Global Partnership of Kyrgyzstan”.

During the round table, information was provided on the activities of the Aarhus Center in Bishkek, on the ongoing work and planned activities. Then the representative of the National Association of Pasture Users of Kyrgyzstan “Kyrgyz Zhayyty” made a presentation on “Sustainable pasture management in the context of climate change”. There was a huge range of questions from the participants of the meeting to which he fully answered.

Then the representatives of the Association of Land Users and Forest Users of Kyrgyzstan made 3 presentations on the topics “Agroforestry-an innovative system of sustainable management and use of land resources”, “The management plan for pasture cattle on the territory of the State Forest Fund of Leilek forestry” and “Expansion and promotion of organic products of local small farmers and forest users of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to the markets of the European Union”.
At the end of the presentations, several questions were asked and presentation materials were discussed. At the end, the participants asked the organizers to hold such a meeting again and took a photo as a souvenir.
