Environmental education for business representatives

October 7, 2020 in the village. Sary-Oi, Issyk-Kul region of the same region, in the conference hall of the Raduga boarding house, the Issyk-Kul Aarhus Center with the financial support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek held a training seminar on the topic “Problems of maintenance of treatment facilities, solutions.”

This seminar was organized for representatives of the business community in the person of employees of health resort organizations, sanatoriums and boarding houses, and the main purpose of which was to teach them the use of advanced technologies in sewage treatment plants. The seminar was attended by U. Bekturganov – Chief Inspector of the Interregional Department of the State Ecological and Technical Inspection for the years. Balykchy, Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul and Ton districts, T. Mederbekov – Director of Bintek LLC, specialists of the Issyk-Kul Territorial Administration of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry, operators of treatment facilities of the Issyk-Kul district boarding houses.

U. Bekturganov made a welcoming speech, who briefly spoke about the problems of treatment facilities of the Issyk-Kul district resorts, the need to train operators in new approaches, since their work is directly related to the ecology of Lake Issyk-Kul, and expressed gratitude to the organizers of the seminar for this training course …

At the beginning of the seminar, the manager of the Issyk-Kul Aarhus Center S. Tursunakunov made a presentation to the participants of the seminar on the principles of the Aarhus Convention, provided information on the results of the work of the Issyk-Kul Aarhus Center for 2019.

Then the course trainer, director of Bintek LLC T. Mederbekov, spoke to the participants of the seminar. He gave detailed information on the types of treatment facilities, on the principles of work, on problems during the operation.

The second part of the seminar was held in the form of practical exercises at the treatment plant of the “Raduga” boarding house. The work of the treatment plant “Topas” with a volume of 650 cubic meters was shown on the spot.

T. Mederbekov explained to the participants the principle of operation of the treatment plant, the features of this structure from other types, the purification system.

O. Shestova, a laboratory assistant of the Issyk-Kul Territorial Administration of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry, explained the principle of collecting water analysis at treatment facilities and what types of laboratory tests for the presence of pollution are carried out by them.

At the end of the seminar, the participants were shown a video filmed by divers of the public fund “Clean Issyk-Kul”, discussed environmental issues, problems of treatment facilities, discussed proposals on measures to improve the ecological state of the region.

At the end of the seminar, all participants were awarded training certificates.
