The event is dedicated to the “Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountain Regions of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2023-2027” and the national company “Jashyl Muras”.
On April 20, 2024, with the financial support of the OSCE, the Aarhus Center in the city of Osh together with the Osh Forestry Department under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Osh Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision (MPRETN) of the KR and the Osh Regional Directorate of the Environmental Technical Supervision Service under the MPRETN KR held a campaign to plant 400 Tien Shan spruce seedlings.
This event was attended by specialists from the above-mentioned institutions, the administration of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region, the Kara-Suu Regional State Administration, the head of the aiyl okmotu of the Kara-Suu region, teachers and students of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University, the dean’s office of the Faculty of Natural Science, Tourism and Agricultural Technologies of Osh State University and environmental activists. A total of 75 people participated.
At the official opening of the event, the head of the Osh forestry enterprise Borkoshev Talant Niyazovich, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region Dzhantaev Elchibek Nurzhadyevich, the akim of the Kara-Suu district Abykeyev Temirbolot Asanalievich and the director of the Aarhus Center Isabaev Kanybek Islamovich spoke.
The representative of the President in the Osh region, Dzhantaev Elchibek Nurzhadyevich, thanked the Program Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Bishkek and the Aarhus Center in Osh for financing the action, noting the importance of holding similar events in other regions of the region.
