Information on radiation safety training in Mayluu-Suu in the framework of the project “Involvement of stakeholders in addressing problems of uranium tailings in Central Asia.”
From 20 to 23 October 2016 in Mayluu-Suu, with the financial support of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek 5 Radiation Safety trainings were conducted. Training was held by experts: prof. Kulenbekov and Prof. Asanov B. in Mayluu-Suu in the framework of the project “Involvement of stakeholders in addressing problems of uranium tailings in Central Asia”.
Training conducted in the following organizations:
- Technical College in Mayluu-Suu – 75 participants
- Mailu Suu Medical College – 80 participants
- Central Asian College – 70 participants
- School №3 territorial council Sary-Bee – 70 participants
- The territorial council Sary-Bee and FGP – 15 participants
Trainings were held in an interactive mode. There were many questions from the participants. The trainers drafted the relevant presentation and handouts. During the training experts from background radiation measurements were conducted on the tailings and in the settlements Mayluu-Suu in the presence of locals and training participants. Take samples of soil and water in Mayluu-Suu.
