Training for members of the public association ” Kyrgyz Fund for Nature Protection” in the village of Gulcha, Alai district.

On May 7, 2021, a training was held on the protection of flora and fauna for members of the public association “Kyrgyz Fund for Nature Conservation”. This event was organized by the Aarhus Center within the framework of the “Promoting Green Economy and Environmental Management” project. The training was attended by members of the public association “Kyrgyz Fund for Nature Conservation”, the Department of Hunting and Environmental Management, village administrations of Zhosholu, Konur-Dobe, Tashkoroo, Gulcha, teachers of the Department of Forestry and Farming of the Professional Lyceum No. 67 named after Zh. Raiymkulov, teachers of C. Zhaanbaev secondary school.  A total of 26 participants took part.

The director of the Aarhus Center, K. Isabaev, spoke at the opening of the training and spoke about the activities of the Aarhus Center.

Chairman of the NGO “Kyrgyz Fund for Nature Conservation” A. Bakiyev informed participants about the goals and activities of the NGO “Kyrgyz Fund for Nature Conservation”.

The leading specialist of the Osh Representation of Hunting and Nature Management Kh. Murzaev conducted a training on the protection of flora and fauna. He spoke about the legislation on the protection of flora and fauna, included in the collection of normative legal acts concerning the activities of state bodies in the field of environmental protection of the Kyrgyz Republic and how to act in case of violations.

Member of PA “KFOP” B. Dosmamatov called on all the participants of the training to actively participate in the traditional annual campaign for greening the Alai region.
Expert Kh. Murzaev answered in detail the questions of the participants on the protection of plants and animals.

The training participants were given a Collection of regulatory and legal acts related to the activities of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of environmental protection (Bishkek, 2020) and three types of posters about animals, birds and plants listed in the Red Book of the Kyrgyz Republic, published by the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek.

At the end of the training, the director of the Aarhus Center K. Isabaev expressed gratitude to the participants and willingness to cooperate.
