From April to June, the Aarhus Centers conducted a series of roundtables across the Talas, Chuy, Issyk-Kul, and Naryn regions. These meetings focused on raising awareness about the state of the environment, addressing the challenges of preserving it to ensure a favorable living environment for local residents, and discussing the efforts of environmental services to improve ecological conditions. The events gathered representatives from state environmental services, local self-government bodies, environmental experts, local farmers, business structures, and regional residents.

Participants were presented with materials showcasing the work and achievements of the Aarhus Centers, regional departments of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, and partner organizations. During the sessions, an expert from the Bishkek Aarhus Center delivered a presentation on recent updates and innovations in environmental legislation and regulations, as well as on citizens’ rights regarding land allotment.
