A meeting with members of the Advisory Council at the Aarhus Center in Osh has taken place
On March 22, 2022, the Aarhus Center held an online meeting with members of the Advisory Council. This event was organized by the Aarhus Center within the framework of the project “Promoting Green Economy and Environmental Management”.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the Batken and Jalal-Abad regional departments of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic (MNRETS ) – Umarov B., Tomaev S. and Deputy Head of the Osh Regional Department Kazakov N., independent expert in the field of ecology and environmental protection Soronkulov G., Head of the Department, Associate Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences of Osh State University Abdykarov A., representative of the TV company “T-Media” Karakozuev A and specialists of the Aarhus Center.
Director of the Aarhus Center K. Issabayev provided information on the activities carried out in 2021 and work plans for 2022. The participants discussed the work plans for 2022 and expressed their readiness to assist and cooperate in the implementation of the planned plans.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the Advisory Council proposed to include the following activities in the work plan for 2023:
- Consider the possibility of preparing environmental videos in the field of environmental protection;
- Monitoring of the state of wastewater treatment plants in Batken region;
- Conducting training sessions for state inspectors of the Regional Department of the MNRETS of Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions;
- To assist in the creation of an information training center in the Regional Administration of the MNRETS of Jalal-Abad, Batken regions.
- Inventory and monitoring of mining companies in Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region with the participation of the District State Administration and Aiyl okmotu;
- Organizing and conducting environmental events among the public and working closely with the media.
The Director of the Aarhus Center K.Isabayev thanked the members of the Advisory Board for their active participation in the organization of events and contribution to the implementation of the Aarhus Convention.
