On November 17, 2017 in Batken city of Batken region, with the financial support of the OSCE Office in Bishkek, a training was held for judges of the Batken region on the topic “Application of the provisions of the Aarhus Convention and the National Environmental Law of the Kyrgyz Republic”, attended by judges and assistant judges of the Batken region.

The training was opened by the director of the Aarhus center in Osh city K. Isabaev, the judge of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic D. Arstanbaeva and the adviser of the OSCE Office in Bishkek D. Prudtskih.

The legal expert of the Public Foundation “The Foundation for the Development of Law and Business”, the lawyer V. Boltobayev and the judge of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic D. Arstanbaev, were the trainers and organizers, the seminar was conducted by the director of the Aarhus Center in Osh K. Isabaev.

This training was conducted by the Information Aarhus Center in Osh together with the Higher School of Justice under the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic in the framework of the project “Strengthening Environmental Security in Kyrgyzstan through the Green Economy, Natural Disaster Reduction and Implementation of the Aarhus Convention”, implemented with the support of the OSCE.

At the end of training, handouts on the Aarhus Convention and certificates were distributed.
