Competition among eco-police officers was held in Issyk-Kul
In October-November, the Issyk-Kul Aarhus Center held a competition in the region among eco-police employees on environmental protection and ensuring favorable living conditions for the population of the region. The purpose of the competition was to increase the efficiency of employees, inspectors for environmental protection and rational use of natural resources and to encourage employees and inspectors to professionally perform their duties. This competition was organized by the Issyk-Kul Aarhus Center and the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Issyk-Kul region with the financial support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek.
Within 2 months, the entire composition of the eco-militia took part in the competition, which contributed to improving attitudes towards the environment. During this time, the indicator of work on attracting violators and poachers has increased, explanatory meetings were held with the public about the need to comply with the norms of attitude to the environment, the number of volunteers of public work to assist the eco-militia from the youth has increased.
On November 24, 2023, in Karakol, the Department of Internal Affairs of the Issyk-Kul region summed up the results of a competition held among employees of the tourist and environmental police, public inspectors. The competition was held within a month in the following categories:
“The best ecologist”;
“The best employee of the tourist and environmental police”;
“The best public inspector.”
According to the results of the competition, the expert commission determined the winners, who were awarded diplomas and souvenirs.
This event is an example of joint participation in improving the environment and caring for the ecology of the region.
