Future ecologists held a round table with the participation of graduates of KNU
On February 24, 2017, a round table on “Sustainable Ecological Development of the Kyrgyz Republic” was held. The round table orginized with the support of with the support of the Ecology and Nature Management Department of Kyrgyz National University and Aarhus Center in Bishkek. Senior students and faculty of this faculty took part in it. Fourth-year students and the teaching staff of this faculty took part in it.
The main idea of this round table was to bring to the attention about ecological state of nature, the activities of environmental services for the protection of the environment, the impact of climate change on the ecological state of nature and what problems exist in environment.
The lecturers for the various sessions were students and faculty members themselves, representatives of the Aarhus Center of Bishkek and PF “NABU”. It should be noted that the students themselves chose topics of reports that are of important for the human being and the environment of the Kyrgyz Republic. Emilia Atabaeva student of KNU made dicussion session on “Environmental safety in the context of sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic”. Others made presentations, which raised questions about the state of natural reserves in the Kyrgyz Republic and their safety. Thus, Kubanych Myrzibekov raised the issues of glacier safety in the Kyrgyz Republic, Berender Satimkulov raised question on “Pollution of water resources of the KR and ways to solve them”, Darazhan Mambetova made presenation on tailing dumps, Egemberdi Tilenbaev talked about “Development of forests in the mountainous territories of the KR”.
When discussing the reports, opinions were expressed on the need for careful treatment of nature and the inadmissibility of its pollution.
This roundtable allowed the graduates of the faculty to obtain information on the state of natural reserves, the necessary knowledge of the various human activities in the environment, their impact on it and the consequences that lead to environmental degradation.
