The Aarhus Center, together with the GEF/UNDP SGP, as part of the implementation of the information work of the NDC project, held a seminar for the public, government officials, representatives of universities and scientific institutions, as well as the media of the region on October 21, 2021. The main objective of the seminar was to inform everyone about the prepared final material on the Nationally Determined contributions of Kyrgyzstan, which will be presented in November at the Global Environmental Forum on Climate Change COP 26 in the Scottish city of Glasgow (UK). This material is a 2-year developed material of the expert group, which was prepared jointly with a large group of representatives of government agencies, business representatives, public and scientific organizations of the country.

The full package of materials on NDC was presented by the head of the expert group “Adaptation” of the NDC project Vladimir Grebnev, who presented a presentation on the process of developing materials and the final version of NDC, which was approved by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The participants of the seminar showed interest in the developed materials, asked several questions concerning the problems of climate change and voiced proposals for their implementation during the implementation of NDC 2 (2021-2025).
