Mailuu-suu is a beautiful city in the Jalal-Abad province with a population of 22 thousand people, which has huge development potential in such areas as construction of small hydroelectric power plants, production of glass, wool, building materials and other types of small-scale production.

Today, the Mailuu-suu City Development Forum took place in Mail-suu with the aim to promote the investment potential of the city.

The forum was attended by the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Chairman of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Jalal-Abad region, representatives of the National Investment Agency, Mailuu-suu City Hall, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the European Commission, and the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek.

Within the framework of the forum, the Museum of the History of Mailuu-Suu and the uranium heritage of Kyrgyzstan opened its doors. It will also contribute to the development of tourism and the socio-economic development of the city.

The forum was organized with the joint efforts of the Mayor’s office of the city of Mailuu-suu, the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
