Cleaning day in the Dendrological Park of the Faculty of Natural Science, Tourism and Agrarian Technologies of Osh State University (Osh State University)
March 22, 2023 in the Arboretum Park of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism and Agricultural Technologies (NSTAT) OSU held a subbotnik dedicated to the “International Water Day” and “International Earth Day”.
The event was organized by the Aarhus Center in Osh within the framework of the project “Promoting the Green Economy and Environmental Management” in cooperation with the Youth Affairs Committee of the Osh City Hall.
The clean-up was attended by representatives of the Youth Affairs Committee of the Osh City Hall, the Dean’s office, teachers and students of the Faculty of NSTAT of the Osh State University and the head of the park. In total, about 50 people participated.
Director of the Aarhus Center K. Isabaev, Dean of the Faculty of NSTAT of Osh State University Professor A. G. Nizamiev and Head of the Park E. Aidaraliev spoke at the official opening of the cleanup. They noted the importance of maintaining the purity of the environment, water resources and active participation in various environmental activities.
The specialist of the Aarhus Center A. Matisaev spoke in detail about the “International Water Day” and “International Earth Day”. He also called on students to actively participate in the upcoming debates, the meeting of environmental graduates with employers for employment purposes and in the action on planting trees in KUU.
In 2022, the Aarhus Center in Osh additionally planted 71 birch seedlings in the arboretum park, created by the Tabiyat-Yug Public Foundation in 1993. During the action, the participants witnessed an improvement in the condition of the park. By the “International Day of Birds” it was agreed to hold an action on the manufacture and installation of nests in the park.
At the end of the sub-day, the collected garbage was taken out by a special machine of the Municipality enterprise“Osh Tazalyk”. The Aarhus Center thanked the participants of the clean-up.
