Informing about the activities of State bodies
On October 08, 2020, in the city of Osh, a Round Table was organized for the members of the Ecological Club at the Aarhus Center in Osh. The event was attended by an employee of the Osh Territorial Administration of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry P. Kambaralieva, employees of the Interregional Administration of the State Inspection for Ecological and Technical Safety in the city of Osh A. Mamyraimov, A. Matysakov and I. Matanbaev and an employee of the Osh Representative Office of the Department of Conservation biodiversity and specially protected natural areas Kh. Murzaev. A total of 14 participants took part.
The purpose of this event was to familiarize the members of the ecological club – students studying at the faculties of natural sciences of universities in the city of Osh, with the activities of state bodies in the field of environmental protection.
Director of the Aarhus Center K. Isabaev briefly informed the participants about the activities of the center for the implementation of the Aarhus Convention in the Kyrgyz Republic and the purpose of the event. “Dear members of the club, you should know what powers, functions of state bodies in the field of environmental protection, you are not only future teachers, but also future employees of environmental and other organizations in the field of environmental protection,” he added.
Then the representatives of the above organizations spoke. They spoke in detail about the activities of their organizations, about interesting facts in the process of work. After their speeches, the students asked them their questions.
As a result of the conversation, the students received detailed information about the activities of state bodies working in the field of environmental protection, the environmental situation in the city, and the methods of their work. They also expressed their gratitude to the Aarhus Center and employees of government agencies for detailed information on the activities of government agencies. They were given the Regulations on SAEP and Forestry, DRC and PAs, SIETS and the collection “Collection of Normative Regulations relating to the activities of state bodies in the field of environmental protection”.
