Eco-Camp “New language of environmental media projects”

From 27 to 28 October 2016, in Bishkek, the first country Eco-Camp “New language of environmental media projects” in the framework of the project “Media for the effective lighting of environment and natural resources in Central Asia” was held.

Eco-Camp was orginized with the support of Internews, Living Asia, EU. The camp was attended by representatives of government agencies, the media and NGOs of Kyrgyzstan. Coaches and media experts from Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan conducted trainings, workshops and sessions on the program.

14 projects on various topics relating to environmental protection were presented.

Aarhus Centre in Osh was preseted by two two teams consisting of staff of the Centre Isabaev K., Soronkulov G. and independent journalist Ibraimov B. of Osh and correspondent of TRC “ELTR” Makkambaev U. of Batken oblast. Three projects recognized as “Best Project”  and can become the owners of potential grants from Internews.

  1. “Water is the source of Life and Peace” was presented by the Aarhus Centre in Osh under the theme: “Public awareness and the residents of Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, Isfara district on water resources, the environment and the transboundary nature of emergencies”. Draft clip of future telecast was presented.
  2. Project “CleanMapKG”  Generation Best and “Vecherni Bishkek” newspaper
  3. Project “Revival of the Botanic Garden” foundation “Initiative Archa” and “zanoza.kg”
