Aarhus Centres together with the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic held information meetings In connection with the preparation of the 7th National Report of the Aarhus Convention, from September 9 to 11, 2024, the Aarhus Centres of Kyrgyzstan together with the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, held regional information meetings. The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies, local governments, public organizations, experts and consultants. Some participants in the meeting were able to participate online. These meetings were organized to involve all segments of the country’s population in preparing to collect information for the report. The main criteria for this meeting were to explain to stakeholders the procedure and methods for collecting materials for the report. The deadlines for preparing the report materials are divided into 2 stages, the first of which began in August and will last until October. Then, around mid-October, the first draft of the report will be developed and submitted for discussion at a round table. After which the second stage of collecting materials will begin, taking into account comments and suggestions, and a draft will be presented taking into account the adopted amendments at the beginning of December this year. And at the beginning of January next year, the final version of the report will be prepared and sent for approval to the leadership of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic. In this regard, we invite everyone interested in developing a high-quality and comprehensive report to take an active part in writing this document. The main player in preparing the report is the coordinator of the Aarhus Convention – the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.
