Public Foundation “Ecological Development” (Aarhus Centre in Osh)

The Aarhus Centre in Osh announces a vacancy for the position of Environmental Specialist to work within the framework of environmental projects.

Location: The office is located in Osh city.

Candidate Requirements:

Education: Higher professional education in a relevant field.
Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in the environmental sector.

Professional Knowledge:
Relevant legislation, administrative acts, and industry standards of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding environmental protection.
Theoretical foundations and environmental safety standards.
Best international and national practices in environmental protection.
Documentation standards and norms of interaction with state authorities and local self-government bodies (LSGs).
Proficiency in PC usage and specialized professional software.

Functional Responsibilities:
Planning and participating in the activities of working commissions during environmental monitoring.
Planning and participating in consultative meetings between partners and the local population on environmental issues.
Consulting, planning, and conducting activities for “Green Patrol” teams (secondary schools) regarding environmental, radiation, and ecological safety.
Participating in the preparation and delivery of training sessions for the public and LSG representatives on radiation and environmental safety.
Providing consultancy and support to Public Environmental Information Centres during project implementation.
Assisting in the planning and organization of roundtables and public hearings concerning public participation.
Preparing project progress reports.

Target Regions:
Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions; Mayluu-Suu city; the villages of Min-Kush, Shekaftar, Kyzyl-Zhar, Kaji-Say, Too-Moyun, Kan, Terek-Say, and Orlovka.
