On September 21, 2024, the Issyk-Kul Aarhus Center, as part of the approved work for 2024, held a cleanup day on the city beach of Cholpon-Ata. The cleanup day was attended by the staff of the Issyk-Kul Regional Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, employees of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, students and teachers of A. Osmonov, I. Abdurazakov secondary schools, and divers of the Clean Issyk-Kul Public Foundation. With the financial support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, the participants were given gloves and garbage bags. Employees of the organizations cleaned up their assigned areas, and divers of the Clean Issyk-Kul Public Foundation cleaned the bottom of the lake and removed 15 bags of various garbage.
