Working meeting with Kyrgyz bank employees

On November 25, a working meeting of the network of Aarhus Centers of Kyrgyzstan with representatives of leading national banks of Kyrgyzstan took place in the conference hall of the Park Hotel in Bishkek with  the participation of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek. This event was attended by banking circles – Chairman of the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan A. Abdraev, Head of the Association of Microfinance Organizations of Kyrgyzstan A. Akbaraliev, representatives of Companion Banks, BTA, Capital Bank, AKB Kyrgyzstan, BaiTushum, Aiyl Bank, MCC Bailik Finance. On behalf of the OSCE Office in Bishkek the representative of the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna S. Ospanova, Advisor to the Department of Economics and OS D. Prudckikh, employees of the Department of Economics and OS A. Moldobaev, M. Osmonov and N. Bayzakova attended. The network of Aarhus Centers in Kyrgyzstan was represented by the head of the AC city Bishkek A. Nurbekov, city Osh K. Isabaev, IAC S. Tursunakunov, RAC S. Kalmuratov, information centers Min-Kush A. Narynbaev, Mayluu-Suu A. Mamasaliev, town. Shekoftar B. Botobekov.

The main meeting was aimed at the possible mutual cooperation of the Aarhus Centers with banking institutions in environmental matters. The AC representatives gave brief presentations about their activities and future plans to bank employees. The AC also offered several proposals for the participation of the banking sector in the implementation of program activities.

The bank representatives also presented several presentations on the activities of their banks in implementing their plans for participation in the green economy program of Kyrgyzstan.

After all the presentations, there was discussion of  several interesting proposals that were made about joint plans and clarifications on possible ways of cooperation.

Upon termination of the meeting, a protocol was adopted that had no obligations, but the proposed signed memorandum of cooperation between the network of AC in KR with the country’s banks and several proposals for specific joint activities.
