Awarding the winners of competitions among schoolchildren

In October 2022, the Aarhus Centers with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, organized a competition among schoolchildren in 4 regions of the republic, namely in Chui, Naryn, Issyk-Kul and Talas regions. More than 3 thousand children of various classes took part in the competition. For them, it was proposed to take part in 3 nominations – for students in grades 1-4 for “The best drawing about nature”, for students in grades 5-8 – for “The best craft made of waste” and for students in grades 9-11 – for ” The best essay on environmental issues.

The purpose of these events was to instill in school students a respectful attitude towards nature, to treat it with responsibility and care, to prevent environmental pollution and create all conditions for a favorable life.

All works were warmly received and appreciated by the parent committees, school teachers and jury members. The winners in each nomination received diplomas and valuable gifts. The work of students who did not receive a place in the competition was not left without attention, but the jury members felt that they should be rewarded. For them, additional funds were found by partners of the Aarhus Center represented by the Global Water Partnership of Kyrgyzstan and the Water Resources Service under the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Aarhus Centers did not forget about the replenishment of school libraries with new book products. Each school was given a variety of fiction and school literature purchased by the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek in the Raritet store.
